What's the one thing you're most neurotic about?
My mental health.
What's the most valuable thing you've ever had stolen?
Time.
If you had one month to live, what five things would you do?
Suggested by Acerebel.
1. Stop working and get my lump sum superannuation so that I could do 2 to 5.
2. Spend a week making sure all my affairs were in order, including a) stripping my computer of anything in which I ever said anything less than pleasant about someone else so that it would never be found to hurt them; b) making sure my unpublished art was printed and framed, and provided to a reputable artist's representative, to sell with a view toward increasing my estate for my loved ones; and c) tidying my home so that no one was left with that burden.
3. Arrange a pre-funeral party, that I could attend, with all my friends and family, good music, great food, lovely conversation, and a heartfelt 'thanks for everything and farewell' from me. (Did this once before when I was diagnosed with leukaemia, and it was a wonderful afternoon.)
4. Take one last trip for a week-and-a-half with special friends and family (they know who they are), first class to Paris or Hokkaido or Edinburgh or maybe even Chicago, to hear the blues. Oooh, hard to choose!
5. Pay whatever it cost for me, my family and some other much-loved ones to reunite for a week in a lovely spot, such as on Vancouver Island, to remember only the good times, and then try to slip gracefully away into whatever awaits us next, whether it be Paradise or oblivion.
How did you create your username for VOX? What influenced your decision?
Submitted by Strive2Be.
Contrary to popular opinion, my username is not Acere Bel; it's Ace Rebel!
I chose this name years ago and am the same person on Istockphoto (www.istockphoto.com/acerebel).
I'm less of a rebel than I think I am, but more of a rebel than perhaps is good for me sometimes. Regardless, I would like to be "ace" (tops, good, proficient, competent, talented, at the top of my game) and strive for that. So, Acerebel.
If money were no object, which five luxury items would you rush right out and buy?

- Well-protected mansion (at a tiny $122.2 million USD) with swimming pools (outside and inside), a home theater, a fully outfitted photography studio and a commercially appointed kitchen.
- Same deal for my family and friends (at least, those who wanted it).
- Endow a chair of editing at a prestigious university, on the proviso that they'd never allow another noun to be verbed!
- An Aston Martin for me, and one for my friend, Wayne.
- Other luxury transportation; specifically, my own plane like John Travolta (to fly between Australia and Canada, with trips to Tahiti and Europe), and a companion yacht, like the 200-footer that sells for a mere $103 million USD.
Unfortunately, I'd feel so guilty having it all that I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. My small "s" socialist heart would rebel.
What TV show(s) will you be watching this season? Why?

Remembering for a moment that I'm in Australia, so our programs and time of release are often different from the US and Canada.
Greenwing from England: sick, twisted, surreal, gut-achingly funny.

What do you collect?
If you saw my office, you'd say paper. But for years I've collected turtles. I was attracted to them as a child because of the numbers of time we moved; I was impressed by the way they carried their houses with them. At last count, I think I've got about seventy of them, ranging from earrings to a copy of Yertle the Turtle, given to me by my lateral thinking younger sister one Christmas.

What's your middle name? Is there a story or history behind it?
Oh, dear. I've got what I consider to be a doozy. Made my life a living hell in the school yard when I innocently admitted to it.
My middle name was my paternal grandmother's first name. It's an old-fashioned name, with lovely sounds to it. It's been the name of queens, and of writers of considerable note.
The problem, however, is that it rhymes with a term for loose women and features prominently in a bawdy song that kids, when they first learn it, can't resist repeating over and over and over again..
Guessed it yet?
Yup! It's Charlotte.
