I subscribe to an ezine from Cagle Cartoons. Today's featured topic is China and Tibet.
I think it's worth a look; editorial cartoonists mostly from the US, but not entirely, give their take on the subject.
Arrghhh! I've been too busy with "real" life this week to do more than post my Link of the day. I don't consider this genuine blogging on my part, but I think my bumptious self-opinionated pieces will have to wait until weekends to spew forth.
So, for now, it's just the link.
And today's offering is perfect for those who want to bathe the world with invective, who need to have a tongue so acid it could etch glass at 30 paces ... but who need a bit of help in being that rude.
LotD - Insults.net
Hard to go wrong with a site that sublimely quotes ancient Greeks and Romans in its classical insults section (Old men are only walking hospitals. Horace, Ars Poetica) and then slips to the ridiculous in its chat-up and put-down feature (I could really turn you on. It's no big deal. I can do it myself just by not thinking about you.)
But wait ... there's more. Metaphorical steak knives to the heart, with sections on everyday insults (Don't let you mind wander - it's far too small to be let out on its own), expressions organised by category (try nerves - I'm more nervous than a pig in a bacon factory), a wonderful collection of genre insults (epigrammatic, literary, political, royal and more), and hundreds of other insults listed as Wildean, Shakespearean, sports-related, historical and show business et al. For those of us with a macabre bent, there's even a section on insulting epitaphs.
